‘Tis the season to be jolly

and we certainly went at the jollity full tilt this last couple of weeks!

Following the hollytastic PDtP Xmas session at the beginning, of December, some of us were able to enjoy even more seasonal singing.

First up was a session of carol singing at London Bridge tube station, where a handful of us somehow managed to persuade commuters to part with just under £500 in aid of the Choir With No Name.

Then the following week, we descended on Travelling Through for the final time in 2017 for out Counterpint in the Cafe Christmas Special.

And then for one final festive fandango, we made our way over to Borough Market last Thursday to treat the punters to more carols, chorales & motets, raising another £100 and making a couple of new friends in the process!

Many thanks to all the carollers who stepped up with very little notice and I hope you enjoyed singing for the public as much as they appeared to enjoy listening to you!

That’s almost it from us at PDtP for 2017, with just our Review of the Year to come next week; then in early Jan we’ll be announcing the next dates for our various sessions (including PDtP Brighton).

In the menatime, this is me signing off by wishing you and yours a very Happy Christmas!

Cheers

Kevin

I am a classical music enthusiast and a lover of choral music in particular. I run the Polyphony Down the Pub social/singing night, probably the most thrilling singing-Renaissance-motets-in-the-backroom-of-a-pub experience you could ever hope to have.
