Dates, updates & a bit of housekeeping

A quick heads-up to let you know that January’s Counterpint in the Cafe will be on Tuesday the 30th; booking details to follow next week.

We’ve released some extra spaces for PDtP Brighton on January 28th so if you wanted a space, hightail it over to the booking page.

On the subject of booking, we’ve had a number of people sign up to the waiting list for both London and Brighton sessions without stating which voice section they want to join (or if they want a non-singing space).

If you don’t let us know your voice, we won’t be able to offer you a place when it becomes available so please always state your voice (or ‘non-singer’) after you surname when joining.

As a general reminder, if you find you can’t make a session then please don’t e-mail me,  rather cancel the booking yourself following these instructions. If you don’t, you’ll be put down as a no-show and your name will be ritually chanted as a warm-up…

Finally, on another admin point, if you’d like to get in touch to promote an up-coming event for your choir or simply to say hello, please always use the comments box at the end of a blog post or via the About page.  We’ve changed e-mail addresses quite a bit over the last 3 years so comms via the website is the surest way of making contact!

Cheers

Kevin

I am a classical music enthusiast and a lover of choral music in particular. I run the Polyphony Down the Pub social/singing night, probably the most thrilling singing-Renaissance-motets-in-the-backroom-of-a-pub experience you could ever hope to have.

  1. Thanks for the update and for all these opportunities; sorry not able to avail myself this month. Very late notice, but maybe of interest: I am leading an open workshop day in Ilford (overground from Liverpool St) tomorrow on Stravinsky Symphony of Psalms. Full info at http://valentinesingers.org or call 07801 258 261. Hope you don’t mind me mentioning this,=. Thanks, Christine

  4. Hi Kevin – hope you’re well. Unfortunately work prevents me from exercising my voice with you all this evening, but I wondered if you might be able to make a quick mention of my choir’s Come and Sing Day? Brief details:
Come and Sing Bach B minor Mass with The Hythe Singers directed by Richard Harker.
    Date: Sat 3rd February 10am – 4pm
Venue: the lovely medieval church of St Mary’s in Thorpe Village, Surrey
( Yes, the back of beyond for many of you!.. but it should be a good day )
    For more information go to
    thehythesingers.com
No worries if you don’t have a chance to mention it. Have a great evening, and hopefully see you next time.
    Cheers, Jenni x
