Let’s try that again, shall we?

Can you believe it’s almost a year since I ruined literally everyone’s Christmas by reluctantly having to cancel our carols at Trafalgar Square?

So here’s a bit of early seasonal joyousness for you – we’ve blagged a spot again this year and this time I promise it’s going ahead, rain, snow or bubonic plague! (Cheery.)

The date is Sunday December 18th and our slot is 5pm to 6.30pm so that gives us plenty of time to explore some amazing renaissance and baroque motets and chorales mixed in with traditional Christmas carols, all the while collecting lots of moolah for a good cause.

Those of you who’ve been to previous events will know that it’s a wonderful experience to hear the sound of Victoria, Palestrina, Bach and the rest resounding across the square, so you really won’t want to miss this.

Spaces will be limited so please use the form below to sign up, with full details plus links to the scores being emailed out in the next week or so.

Confirmation(required)

As always please don’t put your name down unless you’re sure you’ll be able to come along (whatever the weather) and sing with confidence, accuracy and gusto, as it’s a logistical nightmare when people drop out!

Cheers

Kevin

PS We’re still working on getting our regular pub sessions up and running again; hope to have an update in the early 2023…

I am a classical music enthusiast and a lover of choral music in particular. I run the Polyphony Down the Pub social/singing night, probably the most thrilling singing-Renaissance-motets-in-the-backroom-of-a-pub experience you could ever hope to have.
