Christmas plans already? But it’s only August!

I know, I know – it’s so irritating when someone starts harping on about Yuletide arrangements before the summer has finished.

However, following both our brief sing session at the Southbank and our polyphony ‘n’ carols Counterpint Special last December I’m hoping some of you might be interested in putting on a (sort of) Christmas concert this year, in aid of one or two worthy causes. (Yikes –  a public performance.)

I’m looking for volunteers who are willing/able to suggest/contact some potential London venues and also help with a few other logistical points, so if you’re interested in getting involved, please drop me a line via the comments box at the end of this blog post.

In the meantime, if you haven’t yet managed to secure a space at Wednesday’s Counterpint in the Cafe, more of them go live at 9am this morning – but you’ll have to be quick!

Cheers

Kevin

PS The Whitehall Choir are holding an open rehearsal on September 12th for prospective new members; see this tweet for details.

I am a classical music enthusiast and a lover of choral music in particular. I run the Polyphony Down the Pub social/singing night, probably the most thrilling singing-Renaissance-motets-in-the-backroom-of-a-pub experience you could ever hope to have.
